Help answer the question about house

How to keep house smelling clean with a small dog?
My husband and I are thinking of getting a small house dog. I'd love to have one, but there's so many people I know that have dogs in the house and it smells disgusting! My in-laws have 3 wiener dogs and their house smells horrible.

I do not want to be like this! Please give me tips on keeping a fresh-smelling house even if there's a little Shi Tzu living in the house!

You can only hope that the foreclosure department and the loan modification department at your lender communicate well. The departments are probably nowhere near each other. Ask the reviewer if they will contact the foreclosure section to get a delay in the foreclosure. No guarantees here, but it might help.

Check out the website below. We purchased our house plans here a few years ago. You might find something you like in the cabin and cottage category or the carriage house category. There are even a few carriage house plans that are only one story.

Another possibility would be to take a look at some of the duplex plans. There are some on this site that are designed more for multi generational living instead of true duplexes with two identical units. Some have a smaller in-laws quarters attached to the main home.

Good luck!

I love how they laugh at each other! They have so much chemistry and seem to like each other very much (I mean the actors, of course). Lovely. Plus, this song will be in your head FOREVERMORE!

I find myself every time this song ends, saying to myself “They’re awesome, so good at what they do.” still 2 years later I say it every time the video ends.

Check out http://www.eplans.com and http://www.homeplans.com. They have thousands of different homeplans. Some of the plans are shared between the two sites.

The local market should be a major consideration at this time since so much of the northeast real estate market is in a major correction right now. I would hesitate buying something at "full price" in a market that has more than eight months of supply listed for sale. If you can find a decent bargain, your plan to stay with Mom in the city while having your permanent home upstate may not be a bad idea. Remember that if you're not there, though, there might not be anybody else to a) keep an eye on things, b) be available in a real emergency (you're five hours away!), and c) do the maintenance that will end up eating all your "free time" when you are actually back home. Some people end up hating the commute after just three months when it is only two or three hours – - and you're talking five. I would consider only doing it with a roommate or co-owner to lighten the load.

Tampa or St. Petersburg. I just read a story that said they have about the only affordable homes in Florida. Also…smaller population, so much safer.

This looks like a decent book to get you started. Probably available at your local book store. Also see the "customers also bought" list. These in turn will have more alternatives.

I presume you'll be using a builder. The best start might be to find a green home builder in your area and talk.

This link is about more extreme options. That's likely to be a difficult road to travel.

@mvezza Because their BRITISH people!

I don’t understand why Les Miserables is always done with a British accent when they’re French.

@ghoststar braveheart? who does he play in braveheart?

@mvezza a lot of plays do that…so that an english speaking audience can understand while realizing that it is a play based in europe
