In the northern hemisphere of course and more specifically the s.f. bay area. Maybe it depends how big the house behind is also but assume it's not right on top up against the fence.

I'd try posting a housing wanted ad on Craigslist, or in your local paper
In hot, humid climate, the native woods are better than those imported from cold climates. Some insect protection would be helpful and moisture protection is essential . Trust in your professionals and make sure they are qualified. Call another builder and get a second opinion, is there a building code department? Ask them.
What is the purpose of the cavity wall and did you ask the electrician or plumber of you can run services there? They can advise you as well.

see with the present scenario even a single bedroom aprtment on the outskirts of the bangalore city are costing arnd 15lakhs… so how do u expect to buy a whole house including the land for the same price of 15 lakhs and that too 2 bedrooms? hihgly unlikely i would say. even outskirts u try maybe 30 km from the city limits… just try ur luck

You're kidding, right? The only way you will get an accurate figure is to take the plan to a local contractor, or better yet several contractors, and have them give you a bid. Nobody on here could possibly give you an accurate price without seeing the print, knowing what local rates of pay and materials are, knowing how productive local construction workers are, etc. Good luck.
Unless you want to pay a lot of money freighting your possessions from there to here, why not consider selling up there and just buying it all here?
Besides, what is the norm here, might not be there and you may end up bringing stuff you wont use.

You may very well be surprised to see just how different your life is to become so I suggest you arrive with only basic needs and once settled, start to furnish your house in an Aussie manner.
