What stores are great to shop at for home furniture and everything else?Im going to start fresh and new at a new place, so I need everything. I want to get good quality things for my home but without the need of going to expensive stores to get them. Ive seen things like furniture at stores like target but I don't know if they really are good quality. Any help please?

there is this wonderful store called ikea…they have inexpensive furniture that will last you awhile. i'm not sure if you can shop online, but they have stores all over the usa. the reason it doesn't cost a lot is that you have to put together your stuff.
so, you see the display model of, for example, a dresser. you decide you like it, pick out the finish you want and then pick up the box of pieces and take it home. it helps if you have a bigger car for some of the stuff.
it's a really fun shopping experience though!

The big department stores have furniture and things for you home too but the shops I just named are cheaper.
I would try advertising in any of those little free magazines and booklets that your city offers. Also, develop an Ebay account, you'd probably be able to sell some of the stuff there as well. Try putting of some signs around town where thereis plenty of traffic, try radio advertising, and if you haven't already, develop your self a website. I've seen some vendors also put up a pernament booth at large flea markets, if you have such in your town. Maybe develop some flyers with coupons on them, even coupons gviing some type of discount if they refer someone to your business, or for repeat customers. I hope some of these ideas help you. The problem with using just stain is that, especially with water-based stain, you should still protect that finish somehow. Most commonly, you'd use a polyurethane coating, but you could look for some shellac, as I think that has lower VOCs than poly.
Otherwise, you could finish it with an oil – Tung Oil, for instance. It needs to be thinned with mineral spirits, I believe, but the total VOC's should still be much lower than using polyurethane and should not last as long.
As for matching – that's tough. You might try just a shellac and see if you can get away with a clear coat (if your oak is also unfinished). Problem is, you can match the color all you want, but pine just plain looks different than oak.

It’s possible that you may have been upset and misinterpreted his true meaning. Next time something like this occurs, assert yourself. Don’t make assumptions or accusations, just talk to him and make sure that what he’s saying is what you’re hearing.
Basically, it comes down to communication…it always does. You simply cannot have a healthy relationship without it. I believe that you two can work this out…so get to it.
